That's a chapter title from "Belly Laughs" by Jenny McCarthy.
Jenny explains how tired she was in the first trimester:
"Imagine staying up all night, then running a marathon, then doing three hundred loads of laundry and raking leaves off a football field in one day."
Thank you! So perfectly captured! That's exactly what I feel like and have felt like for the past three weeks. I keep hearing of this elusive second trimester when my energy returns, but so far it's only a dream.
Yes, to those of you who have been on this wonderful adventure before, I do realize this is only the beginning. I do know that it will be worse in the third trimester and even worse once Sweet Pea is here. But until then, humor me and smile and nod understandingly when I complain about being so tired now. I only have these past few weeks to go on as far as experience and really just want a smidge of sympathy or understanding.
Now, off to fight the urge to sleep for the next hour...

Well I don't know about you, but my roommate, who is pushing the third trimester, has been pretty much lazied-out the entire time, not just the first trimester. If her laundry gets done at all, the clothes end up lingering in the laundry room for weeks... and if I don't do the dishes, they don't get done at all... ever...
